HGTV casted Bertrand as its’ 3rd season of Design Star in 2008. After taking the season by storm, Betrand won the competition and hosted her own show, Paint Over! HGTV’s Paint Over! featured families in transition and tragedy and in need of some positivity.
Bertrand has appeared in countless media outlets: USA Today, New York Post, Rachel Ray Magazine, Life & Style, InStyle and is a frequent contributor to NBC. Additionally, she enjoys speaking to design schools, universities & women’s orgs nationwide about design and the power of positive thinking. She currently resides in Olathe, KS with her husband Chris, her son Winston and her dog Sophie.
Mistress of Ceremonies - Elizabeth Alex
Elizabeth Alex of NBC Action News KSHB-TV41 and TLC for Children and Families will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies and will facilitate a short program which will include children from CCVI and a representative from Alphapointe.
